Several years ago, I handed one of our clients an expensive box of Godiva chocolates for Christmas.  As he took the box and we exchanged pleasantries, I couldn’t help but notice it being tossed over onto a pile of other gifts where it proceeded to slide to the floor.  It was at that moment I realized that I could not afford to give my clients anything they couldn’t already get for themselves.  The more I thought on it, I also became aware that it didn’t seem to be in the true “spirit of Christmas” to give to those who had no real needs. 

The next year we pooled the money that we would have spent on candy, and instead fed around 40,000 people for six months during the North Korean famine.  Since then, many of our clients have joined in and helped us fund these projects.  Together we have built orphanages, schools, provided land for housing, food, clothing, education, etc. to those with real needs.  Since the beginning, the response from our clients has been overwhelming and enthusiastic.  Together we have made a difference that will last.
